Earlier today in Glendale, California, WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. was spotted training with strength and conditioning coach Alex Ariza as his February 4th clash with Marco Antonio Rubio nears.
Rubio, winner of his last ten contests, is coming off of a 5th round TKO over journeyman Matt Vanda on December in Las Vegas and will challenge Chavez Jr. on HBO’s airwaves inside of the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.
It’s a fight that has been generating some interest, simply because Rubio is somewhat of a dark horse and is being given a legitimate shot by some insiders at pulling off the upset.
